There are no prerequisites for Mat, though prior Pilates experience is strongly encouraged. To enroll in Reformer, you must first complete a Mat certification through a reputable, recognized program.

Yes! The Mat & Reformer package can be divided into four convenient monthly payments. For information about payment plans or financing options for other training programs, please contact the studio directly. We’ll be happy to discuss the available options with you.

A $250 non-refundable registration fee is required at registration to secure your spot. The remaining balance is fully refundable up to 14 days before your scheduled training date. Cancellations within 14 days of the training are not eligible for a refund. This is an investment in your future. We encourage you to review these terms carefully before completing your registration. The Pilates Reformer Program is designed to be completed within a designated timeframe to ensure apprentices have the opportunity to train alongside their peers, participate in practice teaching and observation, and retain the material effectively throughout the program.
To support this structure, all final test-outs must be completed within the following timeframes:
- Mat: Within 6 months of completing the final module.
- Mat + Reformer: Within 1 year of completing the final module.
- Reformer Only: Within 1 year of completing the final module.
If an apprentice is unable to complete the required test-out within the designated timeframe, a $25 per week extension fee will apply in order to continue completing apprentice hours at KAR and receive certification. These timelines are intended to help apprentices maintain consistency, build confidence, and successfully demonstrate competency while the material is still fresh and actively practiced.

Attending each weekend module ensures you learn all the material and pass the program. You must be present, on time and attend all workshop hours to receive certification. If a reformer module is missed, you are required to make up the hours in the form of private sessions (1 hour missed= 1 private session) to learn all of the information and receive certification.

A Mat certification alone lets you teach in group fitness settings, gyms, and Mat-based studios. Adding Reformer opens the door to most boutique Pilates studios. Our program is built to get you there: practice teaching is part of every course, so you'll leave ready to lead a class with confidence.
